TOMAHAWK TOURISM MARKETING EXPANDS TO THEIR NEW ORLEANS TEAM

New Orleans – June 2018 – Tomahawk Tourism Marketing, New Zealand’s international tourism marketing agency, continues its rapid expansion into the U.S. The company has hired Brooke Hidalgo, as a Digital Account Manager to take on digital and customer service aspects of Tomahawk’s growing portfolio in the United States.
Tomahawk’s recent US expansion is surpassing the agency’s original benchmarks, as tourism businesses nationwide have sought out their expertise. By continuing to hire within the local market, company founders Gina Paladini and John Hayson intend to aide the community while offering an impactful, evidenced strategy to help grow the tourism sector.
Ms. Hidalgo brings knowledge from both the digital world and the tourism industry, having previously worked for Apple & Abita Brewing Company in Louisiana. Hidalgo was nominated for a “soMe” award at the Baton Rouge Social Media Association, for her social media work and expertise at Abita Brewing Company. She currently serves as member for the New Orleans Social Media Group, as well as the New Orleans Advertising Club of Louisiana.
Hidalgo will work alongside the Business Development Director, Magan Adams, in developing digital marketing plans for CVB’s, tourism trails, and B2C tourism businesses. She will also serve as the US account liaison for ResBook, Tomahawk’s robust cloud based accommodation reservation management system. Designed in 2002 specifically for boutique hotels and bed & breakfasts, ResBook has been generating buzz worldwide.
Tomahawk was founded in 2007 by John Hayson, former CEO of New Zealand and Australian eCommerce company Conduit International Limited and Gina Paladini, a California native known for starting inbound tourism agency NZ Encounters, ResBook, and TourWriter, a widely-used international tourism software package. The agency’s high profile portfolio includes work with Fiji Airways, Experience Australia, Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau, and luxury lodge collection Robertson Lodges.
