Tomahawk USA Team Helps Welcome IPW 2016 to New Orleans

By on

New Orleans, Louisiana is a gorgeous city fueled by tourism and known for spectacular events including Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, and Second Lines. The city had an extra reason for celebration recently as the U.S. Travel Association brought down their annual IPW travel show for the first time in 14 years.

As the largest travel show in the nation, IPW connected tourism and hospitality sellers with thousands of buyers and journalists from 73 countries across the globe!

This very VIP event will generate revenue for years to come and it served as an excellent venue to network with industry movers and shakers.

Local tourism professionals came together in a huge movement to highlight the city's hospitality, world class attractions, and unique culture. Tomahawk USA's Director of Accounts, Marica Mackenroth Brewster, was proud to be part of the movement.

Between catching up with tour and travel leaders at events by Women in Travel and Tourism International, the National Tour Association, and Louisiana's Latin American Tourism Task Force, Marica partnered with the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, Louisiana Tax Free Shopping, and other tourism entities to help welcome guests to the city as a hospitality volunteer.

It was a fun, worthwhile whirlwind of a week and "Team T-Hawk" is already looking forward to next year!
